Lytron's new Aspen line, their latest innovation in stainless steel heat exchangers, combines low price, low pressure drop, and light weight with excellent heat transfer and superior fluid integrity.

Completely redesigned, Aspen's low cost was achieved through an intense engineering effort. They started by decreasing the number of tubes and increasing the fin density to balance the air and liquid-side capacities. Shortening the liquid fluid path lowered cost and decreased the liquid-side pressure drop.The single-piece formed-aluminum frame/fan plate cut costs and weight still further. Finally, the simplified design is more economical to assemble.

Aspen's cleanliness will improve your system's reliability. The 316L stainless steel fluid path maintains deionized water and will not react with corrosive liquids. The simplified liquid-side returns eliminate potential particle trapping sites that can contaminate cooling fluid. Furthermore, Aspen is manufactured without contaminating lubricants.

Each unit is pressure tested to 150 psi (10.3 bars) to ensure leak-free reliability and has a maximum operating temperature of 400°F (200°C).

Lytron has a stainless steel heat exchanger for virtually every application. Aspen is available in six standard configurations with either straight or beaded tube connections. For applications requiring higher performance in a similar size package, they recommend their 4000 Series.
