Description

The CP15 is Lytron’s highest performing tubed cold plate. Components can be mounted on both sides of this compact and lightweight cold plate, making it ideal for applications where heat loads are moderate and space is at a premium.

The CP15's small (0.25"/6.4 mm) tube diameter results in higher fluid velocities and improved thermal mixing, which leads to better performance. The close tube spacing also increases performance and offers more uniform cooling. Lytron’s proprietary epoxy-free Press-Lock™ process mechanically locks the tube into the channeled aluminum extrusion, further enhancing thermal performance. The tube is coplanar with the plate for dual-sided mounting. The tube side provides better performance as the copper tubes are in direct contact with the component being cooled. The copper fluid path is compatible with water and most other common coolants.

The CP15 is only 0.3" (7.6 mm) thick - 40% thinner and lighter weight than standard tubed cold plates. This compact size saves valuable system real estate, enabling tighter packaging configurations and stack constructions.
