DescriptionThe PPMCI series (Metallized Polypropylene High Current On-board Power Capacitors) is especially designed for tough applications. This capacitor offers extreme mechanical stability thanks to the rugged 16 pin contact. The feature of the self-healing technology is that the end of life for the capacitors is an open circuit condition and not a catastrophic short circuit condition. Additionally, it is possible to measure the remaining life of the capacitor, as the capacitance reduces over life.
Using the latest self-healing polypropylene and polyester films available on the market, design engineers will appreciate the compact design as well as the high current values.
Standard models offer nominal voltage ratings from 500 up to 1100VDC and standard capacitances from 4µF to 40µF. Nominal RMS current values range from 30A to 45A depending on the U/C combination.
For high temperature applications, up to 125°C, Leclanché Capacitors offers custom solutions.
