Optical fibers for telecom are high-volume industrial goods that are manufactured to tight specifications regarding their mechanical and optical parameters. AMS provides equipment for measurement of chromatic dispersion and of the index of refraction (IOR) of a fiber, as well as tools for determining the eccentricity of a fiber in a ferrule and the cleave angle at the fiber tip. The product line is completed by products to control the state of polarisation and to measure the polarisation extinction ratio.
