X-ray Line-Scan Cameras - XR8800

The X-Scan XR8800 and XRH8800 series line-scan camera is a compact integrated x-ray sensitive module that incorporates x-scan xmaging’s CMOS silicon imaging detector array chips providing wide dynamic range and solid-state reliability. Resolutions range from 50-µm to 0.8-mm pitch for the XR and 50-µm to 1.6-mm for the XRH. Chips can be butted together and mounted on a PC board to form a variety of active detector lengths ranging from 2-12", in 2" increments. The XRH8800 model is available with detectors up to 48" in length and is designed with tungsten shielding to withstand energy levels up to 225 KV.

The close proximity of the analog-to-digital converters (ADC) to the detector chips and the use of low-voltage-differential-signal (LVDS) technology helps minimize noise and maximize bandwidth. A selection of standard hardware and a software development kit (SDK) are available for interfacing to computers. The SDK includes drivers, intuitive application programming interface (API), example source code, and standard inspection application that expedite developments of many x-ray scanning systems.
