GigE cameras



Ideally suited for high throughput imaging, the GigE cameras rely on the best of breed monochrome and colour CCD and CMOS sensor technologies to ensure high performance and provide small form factor. Standardised for machine vision applications, the Gigabit Ethernet technology addresses the growing demand for high resolution (5Mpixels), high speed (1Gb/s) and large packet data transfer over long distances (100m).
The GigE-based ›smart cameras‹ are trainable and embed a powerful neural-net processor or a so-called zero instruction set computer (ZISC) that perform high-speed, real-time feature extraction, filtering, object search classification, target tracking, region monitoring, behavior analysis, defect detection, label inspection, face recognition, surface inspection, environmental variations, etc. The cameras are customisable to satisfy individual requirements in food sorting, surface inspection, medical imaging, traffic and surveillance applications.
