July news from AMS UK 26.07.2012
Atom manipulation
The scientific community uses our light sources and Gradium lenses to study cold neutral atom and trapped ions. AMS supports the researcher by providing highly accurate wavelength specific lasers which can be used to manipulate ions so they can be observed at the single particle level. This opens the door for a variety of new approaches to quantum chemistry or quantum information processing.

High Temperature Fibre Assemblies
Gold coated fibre is used in a number very high temperature environments up to 700°C for optical sensing applications such as glass manufacturing, or steel mills. Fibres are assembled into a custom 2D array and then split in various ways in order to feed back the information to various safe areas’ of the assembly line. High power connectors, a wide range of sheathing options, and a customer in house machining facility are at your disposal when designing an assembly to suit your application.

Precision Laser Drivers and TEC controllers
AMS provides advice and guidance to designers when considering a driver or thermo electric controller design to control their light source with precision and ease of use. Whether it is precise wavelength control for fibre optic sensing systems or power control for spectroscopic applications, or thermo control for metrology systems.
