Vytran introduced fully automated
large-diameter fiber cleavers incorporating the tension-and-scribe
cleaving technology proven in the LDC-400 cleavers along with a host of
new features to facilitate automated volume production. The CAC-400
produces consistent flat cleaves with mirror-quality end-face finishes
on fibers from 60 to 600 microns in diameter. The CAC-400-A creates
both flat and angled cleaves. The systems can be used on conventional
and specialty fibers, with options for soft glasses, photonic crystal
fibers (PCF) and many more.
The cleavers allow automated high-volume production of fiber lasers, fiber-based medical and sensing devices and other fiber components and assemblies. CAC-400 cleavers can be used as stand-alone tools or integrated with the CAS-4000 Series splicers.

CAS-4100 and CAS-4100-P are
compact, semi-automated splicers that produce high-strength, consistent
splices quickly and efficiently. CAS systems feature a unique design,
advanced imaging capabilities and programming flexibility. They are
based on Vytran‘s proven filament fusion
technology—the industry’s most reliable method for
creating high-strength, low-loss splices.
They are ideal for development applications and cost-effective, high-volume production, including three-shift manufacturing. CAS-4100-P is tailored for polarization maintaining (PM) fibers. Click here for more details

GPX-3000 is a unique, multipurpose glass
processing platform for creating splices, combiners, tapers, couplers,
end-caps and other fiber processes with optical fibers from 80 microns
to 1.8 mm in diameter. GPX-3000 systems are built around a unique
filament “furnace” assembly - a stable, intense
heat source that can be precisely controlled over a wide temperature
range - to ensure optimum glass processing conditions.
The systems are ideal for R&D and production applications that demand accuracy, versatility and repeatability such as fiber laser and medical device manufacturing. Click here for more details

The specialty optical fibers
available from AMS Technologies have high performance coatings that
enable to operate at extreme temperatures and survive in harsh
environments. An array of non-standard fibers is available to meet
different fiber needs: custom core / cladding sizes, custom NAs, narrow
/ broad wavelength transmission, etc.
These optical fibers have proven effective in a number of applications such as rocket, turbine and jet engine monitoring. They have also been used in aircraft, missiles, spacecraft sensing and measurement, radiation resistant sensors and ultra high vacuum devices. Morevoer, AMS Technologies offers a variety of fiber assemblies and fiber-based products. Click here for more
